Shoe shopping....

Up until now Sophie hated to try on shoes. I don't know why. She loves shoes. She is constantly wearing Adam's or mine. But take this girl to a store and force her to try some on and it gets ugly...quickly. The other day I had been to the mall and decided I really wanted some new shoes. We've been on a VERY strict budget since Paragon shut down, and mama just wanted some new shoes. I took Sophie with me and she had a FIT when I put the shoes on. She immediately took her shoes off and said "Sophie try...for Sophie". I let her try them on, she approved, and now they are mine. Cute huh?

Wipeout

While I was getting Sophie ready for bed Adam was watching Wipeout, and laughing hysterically. Sophie and I joined him to watch and she thought it was hilarious. She even did her own rendition...see video below.

New headband

I have wanted to buy one of these headbands for Sophie for FOREVER. I finally decided to get one and see if she would wear it. She is currently obsessed with regular headbands, but usually wears them over her forehead. I found one of these for $3 and decided it was worth the small investment. Adam is not a big fan of the flower, but I LOVE it...and so does Sophie.

The Zoo...again

The Huskins Clan
We went to the zoo with all the Huskins. This year we invested in a pass so we can go back as often as we like! Sophie loved it this time. For the first time we didn't have to chase her all over the place...she even rode in the stroller a bit. Phew, what a nice milestone!

This video is of Sophie performing her "elephant walk" for the actual elephants. She really wanted to go see them but has a hard time saying "elephant" so she got down on the ground and did her elephant walk to tell us what she wanted. I didn't have my video camera ready the first time, so I made her do it again once we got there! She learned this at ballet.

Loving her hat...

More snacks please!

She ONLY did this because Nathan did...

Some light reading...

Whenever I am reading a book or magazine, Sophie has to have one too. She happens to love Reader's Digest. Reader's Digest reminds me of my Grandma Pegg, she always had them at her house! Maybe her love is genetic. Here she is with some light reading before bedtime.

Fishing with the Huskins Boys

Steven, Laura, Hailey, Nathan, Grand-Mommy, and Poppy all came to visit us in Franklin. We had so much fun. The highlight for Nathan was definitely fishing in the pond in our neighborhood. The highlight for me was watching Sophie play with her cousins. She loves Hailey...and she worships Nathan. At one point we were upstairs and Nathan said "Does anyone want to..." and before he finished his sentence Sophie raised her hand and said "I do". She wanted to do whatever he did and repeated everything he said. She's always loved playing with the older boys...hmmm....

First Sleepover!

Wendy and Jason FINALLY let us keep Josie overnight for a sleepover. We had a blast. We had pizza at Jet's and then made ice cream sundaes. After bath we watched a movie together. I looked over and saw Sophie laying on Josie's shoulder. SOOO cute.

Josie did great. She woke up about 4:00 am and was a bit confused as to where she was and why Sophie was in bed with her. I went upstairs to lay down with the girls. Sophie was wide awake, talking and singing. Sweet Josie was trying so hard to go back to sleep. After about 10 minutes of Sophie singing..."me, memememe, meeeee, meme, me, meeee", Josie sat up in bed, looked at me and said "Katie, she's STILL singing". I took Frank Sinatra Jr. to sleep with Daddy and Josie and I went back to sleep!

It also happened to be Zoe's 7th birthday...happy birthday to the sweetest puppy ever!

Sophie's Bike

She finally did it! She got on her bike...all the way. She even let Adam push her around the kitchen. It's the little things in our house...just the little things.

All dressed up...for Publix

Sophie was fully accessorized for our trip to Publix. I decided to post all of the pictures to show you how difficult it is to capture her on camera. It's like trying to herd a cat. I never did get one that wasn't in motion!

This could be a problem...eventually

The Hamiltons were at our house for a cook-out and we discovered that Sophie really likes to sit in David's lap. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but it was very cute. Every time David wanted to get up, Sophie would stand up and let him out. When he came back she stood up again to let him sit down so she could sit in his lap.

Josie

Some people in my life just make me smile...
Others make me laugh hysterically...

Josie does both.
