The Littlest Cheerleader!

Rollin', rollin', rollin'...that's my baby rollin'

So, with my family as witnesses (instead of only Daddy), Sophie rolled over and managed to get that other arm out!

Cookies for Santa

Sophie did get to meet Santa this year at Opryland Hotel (which will go down in history as my WORST idea of 2007…more on that later) but those pictures are all on the video camera that is taking FOREVER to download, so I’ll have to post those later. In the meantime, here is Sophie putting out cookies and milk for Santa. And yes, she left cookies and milk. When I was little Santa requested pretzels and beer because he got too many cookies and apparently is lactose intolerant!

Sophie's First Christmas Eve

Here are some pictures I took of Sophie before church on Christmas Eve…I particularly like the last one. I guess there is a reason you pay someone to prop up your child for the pictures!

Sophie playing with her Glowworm. It certainly holds her attention!

For anyone who is wondering...

NO...Sophie cannot sit up by herself yet...

My Name is Spike

For those of you who don’t know, my nickname when I was little was Spike because my hair stood on end. When I got a little girlier, my mom made my dad change it to Spikette. When I saw this outfit I HAD to have it! If you can’t read it, it says “My name is Spike.” The only audio/video I’ve heard of myself as a child is me talking into a microphone and I said “My name is Spike Hart” to which my sister replied “I think she’s dumb.” And I’ve been warped ever since. The 2nd picture is Sophie’s response to Tigger smacking her in the face with his tail…seriously, does anyone want a cat?

I don't need no stinking parents...

IF I could just reach the fridge...

Christmas Photo Shoot

For part of my mom’s Christmas gift, Wendy and I took the girls to have their Christmas pictures taken together. Here are some of the best shots…this was the surprise I didn’t want to ruin.

Chilling with Daddy

We had to retire all the 0-6 month gowns…they fit around, but not so much in length! Congatulations Josie, hope you enjoy them!

Just Another Day of Being Beautiful

Here she is waiting on the porch for our friend Colleen on one of the most gorgeous days ever! Love that hat!

We met Colleen, Michael, & Lucy at the park in the neighborhood and Sophie tried out the swings for the 1st time. She LOVED them. At first she couldn’t figure out what to do with her head, which I thought was HILARIOUS. But once she picked her head up she really enjoyed it. BTW, it was 76 degrees in DECEMBER. And for those of you who are wondering…her shirt says “My dad is the man.” Thanks to Uncle Blake and Aunt Michelle…because we all know I didn’t buy it! JUST KIDDING.

I LOVE my Daddy!

She has started to put her head on your shoulder when she is sleepy, it is the sweetest thing! Here she is loving on Adam.

Santa Baby

Okay…I can’t wait…here is a preview of what is to come…and no, that is NOT my couch…it’s hideous. I’d tell you where the couch is, but that would ruin the Christmas surprise!

My sister Wendy and brother-in-law Jason had their 1st baby on November 25th at 1:01 am. Her name is Josephine “Josie”. Josie has some of the best hair I have ever seen on a newborn! I can’t wait to give her a bath! Josie and Sophie could not be more opposite in coloring…just like their mommies! But both are absolutely gorgeous! What a beautiful family…check out Sophie chilling on the sofa. Jason was getting impatient, so I put the last picture of them in to show his mouth mouthing off at me!

Sophie's Hat

Here is Sophie's new hat from her Nana! Look how cute she is! We went to the Bristol track to look at the Speedway in lights. Sophie loved all the lights. And another random picture of Sophie in a onesie at the dinner table.

Sophie and Hailey

Sophie’s cousin Hailey was very entertained by Sophie.

Sophie's First Thanksgiving

We went to Kingsport to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Huskins. Here are some pictures of Sophie watching her 1st Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and sitting at her 1st Thanksgiving dinner.

Sophie got to try out her cousin’s doorway jumper while we were in Kingsport. Maybe Santa will bring her one, she loved it!

Sophie is now big enough to go in her exersaucer! She did great playing in it while I took a shower. I don’t think she quite gets it yet, but I heard many of the toys making noise and the lights kept her attention. Look how big she is getting! It is going too fast!!!

Logan's Birthday

Last weekend we went to Knoxville to celebrate Logan Poteet’s 4th birthday! I can’t believe he is 4 already, I’m depressed. Sophie was the ultimate party girl…until she missed her nap one too many times! Here are some pictures of Logan and Adam playing with Logan’s new toys. He got a box of dress up clothes and Adam pointed out that it is almost the complete set of the Village People costumes. Now if it came in adult size for my mom….JUST KIDDING MOM!!!
First of all…I guess I’m glad I had a C-section judging from the size of Adam’s head. One picture is of Logan acting after being “beaten” with the plastic night stick…something about this is slightly disturbing. Remember that Logan’s daddy used to be a metro police officer…hmmm. We left their house with Darrell in cuffs and Logan “beating” him while Darrell yelled “Uncle…uncle…MOMMY help me!” Logan put the plastic cuffs on too tight and he was really stuck in them. Too funny! You’ll notice Sophie’s pink cheeks…proof that she is her mother’s daughter!
