I am a Christian, a mommy, and a wife who makes her living caring for other people's very tiny or very sick newborn babies as a neonatal nurse pracitioner. When I'm not at work I love to read, cook, and bake. I love most dogs, and tolerate some cats. I was born sarcastic and try to find the humor in every situation (much to the chagrin of my poor husband).
My sister and I made some hand and footprints to hang in frames on Sophie’s wall. We were going to have my brother-in-law take her downtown in cuffs, but decided we would try ourselves first…she was covered in ink by the time we were done…
Here are some really bad pictures of Sophie in a really pretty dress. I couldn’t get a great shot of her…but the dress is from two of the nurses that I work with and she looked adorable in it.
On Friday night, Sophie went to her first Ravenwood High School football scrimmage. It was VERY HOT…so she slept though all of it. She is still trying to pick her favorite players. But she definitely loved her jersey, courtesy of Aunt Wendy…
We have determined that when all else fails, taking Sophie out on the back porch in the heat will have her asleep in no time. Apparently it works for Adam too…
Sophie was having a come apart and we laid her down on the bed to regroup, Zoe jumped up on the bed and laid down right next to her…she seems to have a calming effect. Of course after a 1/2 hour of Sophie’s screaming, Zoe puked all over the place…so the calming effect seems to go only one way!
